Join us for our annual Youth Pheasant Hunt on Saturday October 31st, 2020. This is a great opportunity for area youth to try pheasant hunting even if their parents/guardians are not hunters!

Who Can Hunt and What Does It Cost?

There’s no cost to attend but registration is required! Register by calling Redwood County Pheasants Forever Board Member, Jim Thalacker at 507-530-0554. Hunters will need to register by Thursday, October 29th.

Youth are welcome and encouraged to attend. Youth (ages 12-17) must provide valid Hunter’s Safety Certification. An adult partner is not required so if parents/guardians are not involved in hunting, that’s no problem. Youth hunters will be supervised by seasoned adult hunters.

Lunch will be provided and trap shooting and sporting clays will also be available (shells and fees will be covered by Redwood County Pheasants Forever).

What to Bring

Have your own equipment? Great! Don’t have your own equipment? No problem – we can help outfit new hunters for this hunt. Here are some of the things you’ll need; if you don’t have these, please let us know when you register.

• Dress for the weather – hunting boots, camo jacket and pants, hat, gloves, etc
• Firearm
• Ammunition
• Hunter’s Safety Certificate
