We truly appreciate your contributions and even through these challenging times\, have continued to support the conservation of pheasants\, quail and other wildlife as well as future sportsmen and women.  \nCOVID-19 has had an effect on everyone in our communities and our organization is no exception to that. Our work is supported by your contributions and in the past\, the majority of those contributions have come from events.  \nFor obvious reasons\, we were unable to host a number of our traditional events to the degree that we’re accustomed to. However\, we are very excited to announce our plans for hosting our 2021 Redwood County Pheasants Forever Banquet. It will be held in-person on September 11th\, 2021 at the Redwood Area Community Center. There will be limited seating available unless restrictions are lifted. We know this is not traditionally the time we hold our banquet and we intend to be back on our regular schedule the following year.  \nYour contributions have been put to work through the following efforts in 2020: \n\nSupport for approximately 90 students from Morgan\, Redwood\, Lamberton and Wabasso for School Shooting Sports\nSupport for approximately 50 students from Redwood County 4H Shooting Clubs\nSupport for the No Child Left Indoors program to share our hunting heritage\, passion for the outdoors and appreciation for wildlife habitat with men and women\, young and old\nContributed to 100+ acres for local food plots and habitat\nSupport for Redwood County 4H through Gold Level sponsorship for Midwest USA Foundation\n\n\nPlease join us at our Annual Banquet!\nBring your family and friends for a fun-filled night with raffles\, games and many prizes! SUMMARY:Redwood County Pheasants Forever Youth Hunt 2021
DESCRIPTION:The Redwood County Pheasants Forever board is excited to host another Youth Pheasant Hunt this year! Join us on Saturday\, October 30th at 8am in Redwood Falls\, MN. \nWho is the hunt for?\nThis hunt is available\, free of charge\, to not only the youth of our area but also new adult hunters. We want others to be able to experience the joys of the great outdoors and get a chance to see what hunting pheasants is all about. \nThis pheasant hunt is open to all youth ages 12-17 that have a valid Hunters Safety Certification. An adult partner is NOT required. \nHow does the hunt work?\nThe particpants will hunt in a group with some of our seasoned board members and volunteers. We will meet at the West Central Sanitation building on the West side of Redwood Falls\, MN to start our day. There\, we will have registration\, go through safety rules and give the participants an overview of our day. \nWe will hunt on private land (courtesy of a generous land owner – a big thank you to Bob Wetmore for allowing us to hunt on your land) in the morning and head over to the Redwood Sportsmen’s Club afterwards. Lunch will be provided at the Redwood Sportsmen’s Club for all participants courtesy of Redwood County Pheasants Forever. We will also have Trap Shooting available for participants with shells and fees covered by Redwood County Pheasants Forever. \nRequired Equipment\nDress in your hunting gear! We will hunt rain or shine. \nMinnesota pheasant hunters are required to wear at least one visible article of clothing above the waist that is blaze orange. This could be a hat\, jacket or hunting vest. Remember that more blaze orange will make you more visible to other hunters.
