At Redwood County Pheasants Forever, we’re passionate about conservation, hunting heritage, and ensuring that the next generation has the knowledge and skills to carry these traditions forward. A huge part of that commitment involves supporting area youth, including contributions to 4H Shooting Sports and High School Trap Teams in Redwood County. But we also recognize the incredible work of other local organizations that share our mission.
One such group is the MN Deer Hunters Association (MDHA) Sunriser Chapter, a dedicated partner in conservation and youth education. One of the most impactful programs they support is Forkhorn Camp, a unique outdoor learning experience designed to teach young hunters essential skills while fostering a love for the outdoors.
What is Forkhorn Camp?
Forkhorn Camps provide a hands-on, immersive experience for youth ages 11-15, helping them develop the knowledge and confidence to become ethical, responsible hunters. These camps are also an excellent opportunity for kids who may learn differently, providing an alternative path to earning their MN DNR Firearm Safety Certificate.
Upcoming Forkhorn 1 Camp Details:
Dates: June 16 at 9 AM - June 20 at 12 PM
Location: Main Education Building, Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center
Cost: $379
Ages: 11-15
