DESCRIPTION:Save the Date: October 20252:00 PM at Knott’s Corner\, Lucan\, MN We’re excited to announce a brand-new event this year just for women! Redwood County Pheasants Forever will be hosting our first-ever Women’s Pheasant Hunt this October. Whether you’re a seasoned hunter or brand new to the sport\, this afternoon hunt is all about learning\, connecting\, and having fun in the field. \nWho Can Participate?\nThis hunt is free to attend and open to women of all ages who hold a valid Minnesota Hunter Safety Certificate. Whether you’ve hunted before or want to give it a try for the first time\, you’re welcome here. \nWhat to Expect\nWe’ll start the afternoon at Knott’s Corner in Lucan with check-in\, a brief safety overview\, and a rundown of the day’s schedule. Participants will then head out in groups to hunt private land\, generously made available by a local landowner. Dogs and guides will be provided\, and our board members and volunteers will be there to help every step of the way. After the hunt\, we’ll return to Knott’s Corner for a warm meal and some good conversation. \nWhat to Bring\n\nDress in your hunting gear. We’ll hunt rain or shine.\nMinnesota law requires at least one visible blaze orange item above the waist\, like a vest\, jacket\, or hat. The more\, the better.\nBring a shotgun and shells. If you don’t have gear\, let us know – we’re happy to help you find something to borrow.\nYou’ll also need a small game license and a pheasant stamp to participate.\n\nFor details on gear and licensing\, check the MN DNR pheasant hunting page. \nHow to Sign Up\nRegistration is free and will open closer to the event. All participants will need to register by the Thursday before the hunt. DESCRIPTION:New this year! The Redwood County Pheasants Forever board is excited to host a Women’s Pheasant Hunt this year! Join us on Saturday\, October 26th at 2pm at Knott’s Corner in Lucan\, MN. \nWho is the hunt for?\nThis hunt is available\, free of charge\, to new and experienced women hunters. This pheasant hunt is open to women of all ages that have a valid Hunters Safety Certification. \nHow does the hunt work?\nThe particpants will hunt in a group with some of our seasoned board members and volunteers. We will meet at Knott’s Corner in Lucan\, MN to start our afternoon. There\, we will have registration\, go through safety rules and give the participants an overview of our day. \nWe will hunt on private land (courtesy of a generous land owner) in the afternoon. Dogs and guides will be provided. If you need a firearm or other hunting equipment to be able to join us\, please reach out! We’re happy to help source items you can borrow. After the hunt we’ll  head back over to Knott’s Corner in Lucan for a meal and some camraderie. \nRequired Equipment\nDress in your hunting gear! We will hunt rain or shine. \nMinnesota pheasant hunters are required to wear at least one visible article of clothing above the waist that is blaze orange. This could be a hat\, jacket or hunting vest. Remember that more blaze orange will make you more visible to other hunters.
